Over 7,000 people in the Motor Industry have injured themselves in the last 5 years according to the Health and Safety Executive. The most common injuries being slips or trips, falls and ill health from exposure to chemicals, gases and engine emissions.
Radical changes to the Health & Safety Regulations with new sentencing guidelines are coming into force to ensure businesses are maintaining a strict level of safety.

More than 25 cars were severely damaged after a fire broke out at a garage in the Midlands, although Fire fighters are uncertain of the cause of the fire they have emphasised the need to keep garage premises safe.
